Personal Growth during COVID

Despite losing a lot this year, I have experienced tremendous growth in the period of this pandemic.
Prior to COVID:
Life was extremely busy with no time to really sit and pause. I went to school, had sports, had trips planned for the future, and I was generally just always occupied with things to do whether I wanted to or not. My family and I were slowly getting disconnected prior to COVID even though we all lived in the same house. I also felt pretty disconnected with myself because I was going through the motions of life and not really doing any self-reflection.
But once COVID hit:
No one was able to really do anything. All we could really do was be with ourselves and/or our families. I gained a lot of time to really check on myself and think about how I was really doing. I took care of myself more and did things that I had kept pushing off since I finally had the time to. I got to know my family and friends a lot more on a deeper level. Even though I couldn't physically see most of them, we had a lot of meaningful conversations through social media. I no longer took quality time and social interaction for granted and improved on different skills/hobbies that I liked to do.
Once we are no longer in a pandemic, I can say that I will definitely not be the same person I was prior to the pandemic.
